On June 6-18, 2024, IMPULS and the Lesson Study Alliance, a non-profit corporation in Chicago, USA, jointly hosted the "Lesson Study Immersion Program 2024, session 1". Total of 30 teachers and Teacher Leader Fellowships in San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) participated in the program in Japan.
During the 10-day program, they visited 3 public elementary schools (Funatsu Elementary School, Maehara Elementary School, Hamura Higashi Elementary School) to observe for their school-wide Lesson Study. They also visited University of Yamanashi Attached Elementary School, to observe 2 research lessons for their cross-district/nation-wide Lesson Study.
