“To support educators outside Japan in gaining first-hand experience of Lesson Study as practiced in Japan, the International Math-teacher Professionalization Using Lesson Study (IMPULS) has offered Lesson Study Immersion in Japan for nearly a decade. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the physical closure of schools globally, IMPULS had to design and offer an alternative online program. It gave the IMPULS leaders an unexpected opportunity to re-examine how the IMPULS-Immersion program in Japan supported participating educators' learning.”
